A quick guide to Pigalle, France

Just a few minutes from the foot of the streets leading to Montmartre, you’ll find the bustling neighborhood of Pigalle. This once-seedy neighborhood, known for its many sex shops, peep-shows and brothels, has now become one of Paris’s trendiest neighborhoods. We’re smitten with the many cafés, quirky shops, restaurants and bustling nightlife and have gathered a few favorite spots in Pigalle:

At Le Pigalle, a lovely boutique hotel that’s perfectly placed for exploring both Pigalle and neighboring Montmartre. All the rooms have a strong Parisian identity and are decorated in the style of the Pigalle area known as the “Nouvelle Athènes”. Think quirky-cool with vintage furniture, vinyl records, books, and artwork and prints from local artists.
